Scientists have classified more than 200,000 naturally-occurring chemicals to-date —and millions more are likely to exist. The molecules nature produces on its own often exhibit different properties and characteristics from what humans can produce using conventional chemistry alone. We look to nature for inspiration and are building capabilities to engineer any molecule from any microbe. We believe harnessing biology is the next wave of innovation that will fuel the real economy over the next century.
