Why did you come here?

I was struck by the diligent, thoughtful approach everyone at Zymergen takes to their work. It’s a great mix of ambitious goals and a practical plan for reaching them.

Plus, I love the people here.

What’s your work at Zymergen really like?

So far my role has been a mix of designing and implementing software. On any given day I’ll write code, meet with scientists or automation engineers to learn what they need from the software, do a code review, write more code.

What do you like most about your role?

As the software person with some bench-science in my past, I get to be the bridge between people in the lab and the people writing software.

What do you like to do outside of work?

Hike, ski, knit, garden, cook, read.
